About

As a comprehensive solution for school tour management, this project involved creating a web application that allows schools to plan and manage trips for their students. The system streamlines end-to-end trip management, right from trip creation, student enrollment, payment processing, itinerary sharing, to trip execution and updates. A unique Trip ID system enabled students to enroll easily and process their payments in installments or in full.

Within the scope of this project, I incorporated RESTful APIs developed in Core PHP that were integrated with Vanilla JavaScript, boosting the overall system's efficiency. I revamped the Admin Panel by integrating its core features into a new module, leading to a significant productivity increase of 40%. Performance was also enhanced by optimizing queries, leading to a 15% improvement.

The project initially ran on PHP5, and I had the responsibility of maintaining it entirely. This role included addressing various security issues, managing heavy load challenges, and optimizing the application for better performance and security.
